Family can be so generous at times
Their contribution makes all the difference

I am truly grateful for the gift of family
I still struggle to stand on my own two feet

This life can be harsh and cruel
And tough on the wallet

When housing costs more than half
Of the income you manage to get

When in fact the roof costs all that you have
Every month every week and every day

Each time you spend you drain a back hole
The thought of buying something for yourself

Makes you weary and so full of guilt
And you blame yourself
