The Air Con Is Broken

Heatwave and the air con
Has broken down,
Wait days for repair man
That sure makes me frown,
Can it be fixed,
How long will it take?
If I need a new one
What’s the best make?

I sit inside my house
Walls radiate heat,
Didn’t sleep well last night
And oh, my swollen feet,
Yet years ago
No air con when temps got high
It wasn’t fun
But somehow we got by.
