They're keeping up with the Jones you know

Staying up to date with what's popular each day
Pop culture is everywhere all the time every way

new artists
new albums
new movies
new fashion

These people find it all
Such a great passion

Everyday a new release shows
Something new is launched with blows

Spunked up from head to toe
Always with somewhere to go

But what about real culture from the past
The stories that inspired and tried to outlast

Old artists
Old albums
Old movies
Old fashion

Once upon a time
They were our great passion

Is old obsolete as from now
No longer desired is that how

What's new and what's hot today
Was despised in a way

Shorter everything on you
Daggy pants falling and with who

Cover up or you'll get it
I'll even bet it
