With all this modern technology
We need to make an apology
When one will die from being overweight
And the other dies from it being too late

In one country we have food
Overflowing for every mood
And in the other barren struck
Can't we please send them a truck!

Wasteful and unwanted in some places
All this thrown in their faces
Atrocious and appalling ways
It could be solved in a few days

The answer seems a simple one
Send it their way make it done
Grow those crops there
And stop overstocking here

Send these funds to the famine struck
Send them food in a big great truck
Take away our confection
Funds need the redirection

It baffles me how this could be
One side empty the other in glee
Both have dangers both are raught
Both have people being distraught

Hunger alone can be unbearable
Our guilt and shame should be wearable
Then overindulgence has repercussions
With health problems in discussions

How and why does this exist
Distance resolutions missed
We need a real solution
To begin a new revolution
