Today is my birthday
I hope I'm getting wiser
In many ways
I think I am

Another rotation around the sun
Another year gone by
Where have the months gone
What is it I achieved

Still in a poor financial state
No house to my name
My child growing at a great rate
Still playing the same game

In this past year
I've worked a little
Started some new things
Went to a few new places

The highlight of the year
Would be getting married
A once in a lifetime thing
Much love to my family
