What does it mean to be an Australian
Do you know your history well
The invasion killed many innocent people

Are we a proud nation
That has been build on violence
The past cannot be changed
We must move on

From bleak to bright
Onwards and upwards
Equality and human rights
Today is a day for Australia

Everyone living in this great land
On Visa or resident or born and bred
We should celebrate our culture
Our triumphs and victories

We should be a proud nation
For all we have accomplished as one
Bleak beginnings turn to bright futures
